Finally, Cherry Blossom season for 2010 has arrived in Japan. Around this time, weather forecast make prediciton for the best blooming time and a place to go flower watching (or “Ohamani” in Japanese). So, all those in Japan, grab “Obento” (packed lunch or dinner), cans of beer, sake and a best spot under the blooming Cherry Blossom tree!

In the news this week was a report that Softbank – an Internet content and services company in Japan — was buying USTREAM and was planning on introducing a Japanese language stream by May.  The report, on JapanTrends.com, questioned the reception such technology would have in “a culture which almost religiously treasures anonymity and privacy.”  You can read the full JapanTrends story HERE.
